    Sprucewood Designs will be hosting painting workshops at the Hootenanny this year! We have 10 spots available for each workshop. Each painter's seat must be paid for in advance to these events. Walk-up painting all day.

  • Butchering Demo - Anderson Morse

    Anderson Morse will demonstrate the full breakdown of a whole animal, cooking techniques for muscle types, tools and safety and answer your questions about butchery and meat. Andersen Morse is a Catskill native from Margaretville. He trained in Brooklyn as an artisanal butcher and has worked professionally in New York City and Denver, CO. He has worked in butchery education and professional training as well as public classes. Andersen Morse was given a Zagat Award for his work in the culinary field for New York City.

    This session, led by David Serrano provides a comprehensive understanding of the cannabis plant, including its anatomy, growth stages, and cultivation techniques. Participants will also dive into the fascinating world of terpenes, the aromatic compounds found in cannabis and other plants. They will learn about the diverse range of terpenes present in different strains, their unique aromas, and potential effects. Participants will gain a deep appreciation for the complexity and diversity of the cannabis plant and its terpene profiles.

    David Serrano, Workforce Development Institute (WDI)

    David Serrano currently serves as Project Manager at New York’s Cannabis Workforce Initiative. David is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and brings over a decade of knowledge and experience in the cannabis industry. David has worked as a consultant focused on the development of the cannabis industry, which included conducting research, developing a broad network of partners from across the industry, and participating in a range of engagements.

    As WDI’s CWI Project Manager, David provides leadership, education, and impactful strategies to assist communities most harmed by the prohibition of cannabis.
